INTERNSHIP & FELLOWSHIP

The Mel Fisher Maritime Museum is pleased to host student-interns who are interested in pursuing a degree or career in a heritage-related field. Internships are open to any student interested in archaeology, museum studies, 3D photogrammetry, artifact conservation, collections management, paleography, or history, among other subjects.

The focus of the internship is tailored to the desires of the student and the particular opportunities available at the museum at the time. Internships are full-time and are conducted under the guidance of the museum’s professional staff. No stipend or housing is provided to interns, but an interesting, meaningful, and rewarding experience is assured.

For consideration, please submit a letter explaining your interests and how you think an experience at the Mel Fisher Maritime Museum might help to further your goals. Make sure to let us know when you would be available. Letters may be submitted in writing or via email as a PDF document.
